55-Gallon Ultra Pure Trilayer HDPE Construction | Signature Indigo
The KURKO UP55 is a 55-gallon tri-layer HDPE drum released to semiconductor grade. Purity is built into the construction: the chemistry touches only a virgin HDPE layer, coextruded with the structural core and outer layer in one continuous blow-molded body. Each drum is molded and capped in cleanroom conditions and ships in signature indigo with a per-lot certificate of analysis, ready for producer fill-line qualification.
- Seamless wetted body — formed through one continuous blow-molding process, with no seams or welds in contact with the chemistry.
- Released to stringent parts-per-trillion trace-metal limits, verified by ICP-MS testing — shipped with a complete Certificate of Analysis (CoA).
- Accepts KoLink™ Dispense Head & Keyed Diptube for chem-matched, cross-connection-safe dispensing; standard unkeyed dip tubes available.
- Extended top chime provides added protection for closures and installed dispense components during handling, transport, and stacking.
UP55 DRUM SPECIFICATIONS
The UP55 is Kurko’s semiconductor release tier. Geometry, closures, and freight profile are identical to the HP55 — qualify the platform once and choose a tier per chemistry. Pairs with the KoLink™ interface for keyed, cross-connection-safe dispense, or accepts a standard unkeyed dip tube. For chemistries that don’t need the full semiconductor-grade certificate of analysis, see the HP55 below.

The KURKO HP55 is a 55-gallon Trilayer HDPE drum released one tier below semiconductor grade, for chemistries that need particle and trace-metal control without the full semiconductor certificate of analysis. It shares the UP55 construction: the chemistry touches only the virgin inner layer of one continuous blow-molded body. Every drum is molded and capped in cleanroom conditions and ships in natural unpigmented HDPE with a per-lot certificate of analysis, ready for fill-line qualification at the producer.
- Seamless wetted body — produced through one continuous blow-molding process, with no seams or welds anywhere the chemistry makes contact.
- Released to parts-per-billion trace-metal limits, verified by ICP-MS testing — shipped with a complete CoA for non-semiconductor wet chemical service.

CONSTRUCTION
THREE CO-EXTRUDED LAYERS
Ultra-Pure Interior Wetted Layer
The only surface the chemistry ever touches. Formed from virgin ultra pure HDPE, it keeps the contact surface clean and consistent from fill through dispense.
Structural Center Core Layer
The core carries the load. The thickest of the three layers, it gives the drum its stiffness, stacking strength, and impact resistance through filling, handling, and transport.
Protective Outer Layer
The exterior takes the environment. UV-stabilized HDPE shields the drum from sunlight and handling wear through staging, transport, and storage — so the layers beneath keep doing their jobs.
